Please make plans now to join us for a Morning of Reflection, themed “Nourished by the Word, Sent to the World,” on Saturday, November 14th from 9:00 AM to noon.
As we reflect on the rich history of faith and community celebrated during Juneteenth last week, we invite you to mark your calendars for a powerful morning of spiritual renewal and connection during Black Catholic History Month this November. Please make plans now to join us for a Morning of Reflection, themed “Nourished by the Word, Sent to the World,” on Saturday, November 14th from 9:00 AM to noon (location TBD).
Our keynote speaker, author and Church historian Dr. Shannen Williams (author of Subversive Habits: Black Nuns in the Long African American Freedom Struggle), will explore how Black religious women and priests historically used education and activism as tools for evangelization, challenging us to activate those same spiritual gifts today. The morning will also feature a vocations presentation by Deacon Phillip Jackson, Director of the Office of Permanent Deacons, guided table dialogues, and a commissioning blessing to send us forth as bold evangelizers and joyful catechists in our parishes.
We warmly invite you to participate in this morning of fellowship, praise, and empowerment. Please use the link below to sign up to receive a notification the moment registration officially opens so you can secure your spot. We also kindly ask that you share this exciting announcement with your family, friends, and fellow parishioners to help us spread the word and build a vibrant gathering!
